Court day is stressful enough without circling the block looking for parking. The Cobb County Judicial Complex in downtown Marietta is really several buildings packed onto two blocks, and the entrance you need depends on which court you’re going to. We made this map for our own clients — and you’re welcome to use it too.
Where to park for the Cobb County Courthouse
- Lawrence Street Deck — 1 Haynes St. Closest to Superior Court, open 24/7, pay at the kiosk with a credit or debit card.
- Waddell Street Deck — 120 Cherokee St NE. Closest to State Court and Building C. Access is limited on weekdays, so have a backup plan.
- Street parking on Marietta Square — free for two hours, but strictly enforced. Fine for a quick calendar call; risky for a hearing that may run long.
The decks don’t take cash. Bring a card, and keep your ticket with you.
Which building do I go to?
Buildings 1, 3, 4 and 5 on the map are all one connected building. A second-floor bridge from Superior Court crosses Haynes Street and leads down to the first floor of the Juvenile, Magistrate/Probate and Sheriff’s side.
- Superior Court — 70 Haynes St. Felonies, divorce and civil cases. Security entrance on Lawrence Street.
- State Court — 12 East Park Square. Misdemeanors and traffic. Security entrance on East Park Square NE.
- Magistrate & Probate Court — 32 Waddell St. Warrants, small claims and probate.
- Juvenile Court — 32 Waddell St. Buildings 3 and 4 share one security entrance on Waddell Street, between the two buildings.
- Sheriff’s Office — 185 Roswell St.
- County Building C — Solicitor General’s Office and the Circuit Defender’s Office.
Before you go through security
- Bring a government-issued photo ID and your court paperwork.
- Every entrance has screening. No weapons, pepper spray, tools, food or drinks.
- Arrive 30–45 minutes early. Monday mornings are the busiest.
- Phones fully off inside the courtroom — not just on vibrate.
- Dress like it matters. Business casual is safe; no shorts, tank tops or slogans.

Where do I enter for Cobb County Magistrate or Juvenile Court?
Both are at 32 Waddell Street. There is one shared security checkpoint on Waddell Street between the Juvenile Court building and the Magistrate/Probate building.
Is there free parking at the Cobb County Courthouse?
Street parking around Marietta Square is free for two hours. The Lawrence Street and Waddell Street parking decks are paid and accept cards only.
Can I bring my phone into the courthouse?
Yes, but it must be turned completely off inside the courtroom.
