Why We Do What We Do

Megan and Michaela are both first-generation attorneys who set out to break generational cycles and create meaningful change in their communities.
After earning their law degrees, they each moved to metro Atlanta—a homecoming for Megan, a Georgia native. Michaela began her legal career at the Cherokee County Solicitor’s Office, while Megan started at the DeKalb County Solicitor’s Office. The two eventually reunited at the Paulding County District Attorney’s Office, where they gained invaluable experience in prosecution.

While pursuing justice in their roles as prosecutors, they also recognized a critical need for passionate, principled defense attorneys—advocates who would not only stand beside their clients but also hold the State accountable. This shared vision led them to open their own firm in February 2025.

Their mission is simple but powerful: to ensure every client feels heard, seen, and fiercely defended as they navigate the criminal justice system—and to demand that the State of Georgia upholds the highest standards of justice and fairness

Hiring an attorney gives you a dedicated advocate—someone who will stand by your side at every hearing and work behind the scenes to communicate directly with the Prosecutor and the State of Georgia on your behalf. An experienced attorney can thoroughly evaluate the evidence, identify legal issues or weaknesses in the case, and develop a strong strategy tailored to your situation. Most importantly, having skilled representation empowers you to make informed decisions with confidence—decisions that can significantly impact your future.

During your free consultation we pride ourselves in providing you with all the options and possible outcomes. Allowing you to make the best decision for you. There are some cases that you may be able to handle yourself by appearing in court and speaking to the prosecutor. However, there any instances that guilty pleas can have collateral consequences on your license, immigration status, and car insurance. Prosecutors cannot give you legal advice so it best to have an attorney to make sure all your interests are protected.

Name, preferred contact information, why you are seeking representation, and which county you are seeking representation in.

Unfortunately, there is no answer for that. Every county moves at a different speed and has a different backlog they are working with. In general the State of Georgia has two years to charge misdemeanors and four years to charge felonies.
